What will South Africa look like in 15 years time? How will we overcome the current crises in education, employment, water and electricity? What impact will technology have on our economy and the way we work?
Traditional strategic planning methods are ill suited to deal with the uncertainties and rapid change of today. A complex environment requires new ways of thinking that lead to new ways of operating.
Join world-leading futures thinker, speaker and author, Professor Sohail Inayatullah, the UNESCO Chair in Futures Studies, for a one day, interactive master-class on futures thinking and strategy development. Methods and tools will be used to help public and private sector leaders and decision makers to make better decisions and invent alternatives for a different tomorrow. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to learn and engage with this prominent subject matter expert.
Professor Inayatullah works with government and corporate leaders globally on developing strategic foresight. In the past two years, he has presented keynotes or master-classes to UNESCO, the European Commission, Europol and Electricity Supply Board, Ireland (Europe); Offices of the Prime Minister/President in Malaysia, Singapore and South Korea (Asia); and Cairns Airport, Bluescope Steel and National Transport Insurance (Australia). During his inaugural visit to South Africa, he will work with the CSIR and other agencies.
