The Association for Skills Development in South Africa (ASDSA) represents skills development practitioners and skills development administrators, which includes facilitators, assessors, moderators and training providers. Members are required to abide by a code of conduct and a constitution.

Registration and membership with the ASDSA is open to all people who work in the skills development and related fields. This includes skills development practitioners and administrators, talent and organisational development practitioners, as well as training providers and assessors/moderators. Registration and membership for corporate members is open to all organisations using skills development strategies as a means to improve business performance.

The ASDSA is a recognised Professional Body (SAQA Professional Body ID: 866) and offers three professional designations: Skills Development Technician, Skills Development Practitioner, and Skills Development Master.
